Google’s buying spree - When will it stop ? - Part -1

NOTE: If you are new to my blog, you can subscribe to RSS feed.

Not in near future for sure :)  Actually, it will never stop, as I see. They may slow down, but that’s about it !

In 2007, From January to July, Google has already acquired more then 13 companies ! 2 to 3 are under progress. And few more in pipeline.

It is likely that total acquisitions in 2007 will touch more then 20.

Not a small number, right ? . Also, some of acquisitions are in billions. They are definitely on a  buying spree !

Good overview here

With this pace, soon they will be surpassing Cisco in M & A, which seems to be leader in buying companies so far.

Interesting. I didn’t know Google was hungry of companies too. I joined VMware when it was part of EMC, and have learned that EMC has an excellent M&A department, VMware being their best buy so far. Checkout EMC’s acquisitions here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EMC_Corporation#Timeline_of_acquisitions
